Spray Foam |
Spray processes provide control over thickness, and flexibility in the application of polyurethane foams and coatings to vertical and horizontal plane surfaces. This is particularly beneficial in applications where large areas are involved, such as buildings or storage tanks. Other applications include in-mold spraying and the creation of displays and attractions. |
Conventional spraying equipment is economical and portable which provides for an effective way to insulate and seal structures. This is a key advantage as insulating and sealing is conducted in one procedure which simplifies and reduces project labor time. When necessary, the application of an approved urethane coating is sprayed on top of the urethane foam. This provides for long term weather resistance and protection from elements such as moisture and UV rays. |

The process of spraying allows for the capability to apply urethane foam and coating to oddly shaped surfaces. These products react very quickly and as a result there is little run-off, or heavy draining. Stage Scenery, Amusement Park Attractions, Point of Purchase displays, and other creative products are also often fabricated by spraying quality UTC polyurethane foam and elastomer systems. |
Spraying urethane foam and coating is accomplished by pumping the two component system through a spray gun. Mixing is accomplished by atomizing the components as they exit the gun's mixhead at high velocity, as a spray of fine droplets. The adhesion strength of sprayed polyurethane foam is affected by the cleanliness of the surface. Moisture, loose gravel, grease, and other foreign matter will adversely impact the bonding of the foam to the surface it is being applied. |
UTC advanced technology has produced a patented, class one fire rated spray foam system which is unique in the marketplace. |
UTC manufactures spray systems in high and low densities that are custom formulated to suit specific spray application needs. Elastomeric coatings with varying flexibility are also available. |
